Diablo IV Is Now on Nintendo Switch 2: What’s Included in the Age of Hatred Collection

Diablo IV has officially reached Nintendo Switch 2, giving Nintendo players a portable way into Blizzard’s current action-RPG saga. The Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection includes the base game plus both major expansions, Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred.

The Switch 2 release also lands during Diablo’s 30th-anniversary celebration, making this a notably complete entry point for players who have not yet explored Sanctuary.

What is included in Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection?

Nintendo says the Switch 2 collection gives players access to Diablo IV, Vessel of Hatred, and Lord of Hatred. That means newcomers can play across the expanded story rather than starting with only the original campaign.

The package spans the original Sanctuary adventure as well as expansion areas including Nahantu and the Skovos Islands. Nintendo lists eight playable classes across the collection: Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Paladin, Rogue, Sorcerer, Spiritborn, and Warlock.

  • Base game: Diablo IV
  • Expansion: Vessel of Hatred
  • Expansion: Lord of Hatred
  • Platform: Nintendo Switch 2
  • Release date: September 15, 2026

One Switch 2 control detail is worth knowing

Blizzard specifically notes that Nintendo Switch 2 supports a mouse and keyboard when those peripherals are connected by USB. However, Joy-Con 2 mouse functionality is not supported in Diablo IV.

Players looking for mouse-style input in Diablo IV will therefore need actual USB peripherals rather than using a Joy-Con 2 as a mouse.

Season of Hell’s Legacy celebrates 30 years of Diablo

The Switch 2 debut arrives alongside Season of Hell’s Legacy, Blizzard’s anniversary season built around three decades of Diablo history. Blizzard says the season brings back familiar characters, enemies, locations, and loot, with Deckard Cain returning to guide players through an anniversary-focused journey.

The seasonal storyline sends players against Baal, Mephisto, and Diablo while introducing Soul Splinters that let characters assume a portion of a Prime Evil’s power at a cost.

What comes next for Diablo IV?

Blizzard has already announced another class for 2027: the Amazon. The studio says the Amazon will arrive in the first half of 2027 and will feature Champion, Skirmisher, Ranger, and Commander gameplay archetypes, with bows and the returning javelin among her weapons.

For Switch 2 owners, that makes this release more than a late port. It establishes Nintendo’s current hardware as part of the ongoing Diablo IV ecosystem while delivering the existing base game and expansion campaigns in one collection.

Bottom line

If you have been waiting for Diablo IV on Nintendo hardware, the Age of Hatred Collection is the version to understand: it bundles the base game and both expansions, launches with the anniversary season underway, and is positioned to receive upcoming content such as the Amazon class.
