Marvel's History of Heroes: price, date and where to buy

  • Where: Official Secret Lair store
  • Contents: 30 individually packaged Magic cards

Which 30 cards are included?

Wizards has published the full card list. Notable inclusions include Fierce Guardianship, Heroic Intervention, Opposition Agent, Snuff Out, Tainted Pact, Lightning Bolt, Genesis Wave, Mjölnir, Storm Hammer, and Doctor Strange, Master of Magic. Other cards range from classic removal to Commander staples. Visit the official Wizards announcement for all 30 card names and illustrations.

Unlike ordinary fixed-finish Secret Lair drops, this Countdown Kit randomizes card finishes. Buyers should not assume every card in a kit will be foil or surge foil.

Two early Marvel: Darkhold Destiny cards

Doctor Strange, Master of Magic and Beta Ray Bill are two uncommon cards from the upcoming Magic: The Gathering | Marvel: Darkhold Destiny expansion. Wizards says both appear early in this Countdown Kit, but their tournament legality begins with the Darkhold Destiny Prerelease on April 2, 2027. Receiving a physical card earlier does not make it immediately legal in every format.

How this connects to Marvel: Darkhold Destiny

The Countdown Kit is a separate Secret Lair product. It is not a prerelease kit or booster product for the 2027 Marvel: Darkhold Destiny set. The shared cards offer an early look at two upcoming designs, but collectors should distinguish the November 2026 Secret Lair release from the April 2027 expansion.

What collectors should check before ordering

  • Budget for the $199.99 list price plus taxes and any shipping charges.
  • Review the full card list and artwork rather than buying based on estimated resale value.
  • Understand that non-foil, foil and surge-foil finishes are randomized.
  • Confirm delivery region, shipping terms and final checkout total.
  • Buy through the official Secret Lair website and verify sale timing there.
