MTG Reality Echoes Draft Starts Oct. 16: Rules, Prizes & How to Play

Magic Presents: Reality Echoes runs October 16–November 5, 2026 at participating Wizards Play Network game stores. The limited-time Reality Fracture event combines Pick-Two Draft with a special rule rewarding players who draft two different legendary cards from the same Echoed Pair.

Reality Echoes dates, format and rewards

  • When: October 16 through November 5, 2026; participating stores select their own dates and times.
  • Format: Pick-Two Draft, casual Rules Enforcement Level.
  • Boosters: Three Reality Fracture Play Boosters per player.
  • Prize: A Reality Fracture set-symbol pin for the draft winner or undefeated players at qualifying larger events, while supplies last.
  • MTG Arena: Wizards also lists three digital Reality Fracture packs for eligible participants registered using a WPN account activated in Arena.

Admission fees and exact schedules are set by each store.

How to play the special Echoed Pairs draft

Draft three packs, selecting two cards at each pick. Each Play Booster contains three Echoed Pairs bonus-sheet cards: a matching pair and a third legendary whose partner may be found in another pack.

  1. Draft both different cards belonging to a matching Echoed Pair.
  2. Before a game, reveal one complete pair you drafted and put both cards into exile.
  3. You may cast one of those cards from exile as though it were in your hand, paying the applicable costs.
  4. When you cast it, you may shuffle the other card into your library.

You may draft several complete pairs but select only one before each game. Two copies of the same card do not count as a pair. Players without a complete pair can still play normally.

Wizards highlights Liliana the Faultless / Liliana the Repentant, Ajani Resolute / Ajani Unrelenting, and Tinybones, Pocket Nuisance / Titanbones, Towering Heart.

How to claim the pin and find a store

The special set-symbol pin is a winner reward, not a guaranteed participation item. Winners or undefeated players at qualifying events receive one only while supplies last. Ask the organizer about its prize policy and remaining stock.
