PlayStation Plus October 2026 Games: F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and EDF World Brothers 2

PlayStation Plus subscribers have a new trio of Monthly Games arriving October 6, 2026. Sony's October lineup includes F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, with all three available to claim through November 2.

There is also a deadline worth noting: September's Monthly Games leave the service's claim window on October 5.

  • October 5: Last day to claim September's Monthly Games.
  • October 6: F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 become available.
  • November 2: Final day to claim the October Monthly Games.

F1 25 is the official game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship. The PS5 release includes single-player Career and My Team 2.0 modes, letting players manage their own Formula 1 stories from behind the wheel and from the team-owner perspective.

For multiplayer fans, F1 World includes online competition and a squad-based mode where friends can race together against AI drivers.

Hunt: Showdown 1896 | PS5

Hunt: Showdown 1896 brings Crytek's extraction-shooter formula to the October lineup. Players hunt supernatural targets while competing against other Hunters, then have to escape with the bounty.

You can enter alone or play in a team of up to three. The combination of PvE monsters, PvP opponents and the risk of losing progress makes it the most tension-heavy game in this month's selection.

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 | PS5 and PS4

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 takes the EDF series into a colorful voxel world. Players rescue scattered teammates, build a four-character squad and fight oversized enemies drawn from across the franchise.

The game supports four-player online co-op and two-player local split-screen on both PS5 and PS4, making it the strongest couch co-op option in October's Monthly Games lineup.

Don't forget September's games

PlayStation Plus members have until Monday, October 5 to add Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and Chained Echoes to their libraries. Once claimed while eligible, Monthly Games remain accessible while the player's qualifying PlayStation Plus membership is active.

October also brings PlayStation Plus bonus packs

Sony is adding several horror-themed PlayStation Plus in-game packs during October. The announced bonuses include a Call of Duty: Warzone Horror Bundle, a Hunt: Showdown 1896 Starter Pack, and an Overwatch 2 Draugr Reinhardt bundle with five tier skips. Base games are required to use the relevant packs.

Which October PS Plus game should you try first?

The lineup covers three very different styles. F1 25 is the pick for racing and sports-game fans, Hunt: Showdown 1896 is built around high-stakes competitive extraction, and World Brothers 2 offers lighter cooperative action with both online and local multiplayer.
