Pokémon TCG x Santa Cruz Skateboards Drop October 17: 30 Blind-Bag Decks and 500-Copy Gold Chases
Pokémon's 30th anniversary is getting a crossover aimed squarely at both trading-card collectors and skateboard fans. Santa Cruz Skateboards and Pokémon TCG are launching a new blind-bag skateboard collection on October 17, 2026, with 30 standard deck designs and three limited glitter-gold chase variants.
The concept borrows directly from opening a Pokémon booster pack: each skateboard deck arrives sealed inside opaque packaging, so buyers will not know which design they received until the bag is opened.
Pokémon TCG x Santa Cruz release date and time
Santa Cruz lists the worldwide release for October 17 at 9:00 a.m. ET / 6:00 a.m. PT. Availability is expected through participating Santa Cruz dealers, with the company's Pokémon collection page providing launch information and a dealer locator.
30 Pokémon TCG skateboard designs

The collection features 30 different Pokémon TCG card-inspired skateboard designs spanning multiple eras of the trading card game. Each deck measures approximately 8 inches by 31.6 inches.
Among the revealed designs are instantly recognizable Pokémon such as Charizard, Venusaur and Blastoise alongside later-era favorites and special card treatments.

Three glitter-gold chase decks are limited to 500 each
The rarest announced designs are three glitter gold foil chase variants. Santa Cruz says only 500 copies of each chase design will be produced worldwide, for 1,500 gold chase decks across the three designs.

The gold boards feature multi-card collage artwork rather than a single Pokémon card design, giving them an immediately different appearance from the standard lineup.
There is an important distinction for collectors: Santa Cruz has announced the production quantity of the gold variants, but it has not published official per-bag pull odds. A 500-copy production limit therefore should not be interpreted as a specific probability of pulling one from a blind bag.
Why sealed versus opened could matter
The opaque packaging creates the same decision familiar to TCG collectors: open the product to reveal the design or keep the blind bag sealed.
Because the skateboard inside cannot be identified without opening the package, sealed examples and individually identified decks effectively become different collecting propositions. That does not guarantee future resale value, but it is an important consideration for anyone buying primarily as a collectible rather than to skate.
This is Santa Cruz and Pokémon's second major blind-bag collaboration
Santa Cruz previously partnered with Pokémon in 2023 on another blind-bag skateboard collection. The 2026 edition shifts the emphasis directly toward Pokémon Trading Card Game artwork and expands the standard lineup to 30 designs.
The new release also arrives during Pokémon's 30th anniversary year, making the card-art theme especially relevant for longtime TCG collectors.
