Updated October 20, 2026. Konami's new Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Forbidden & Limited List took effect October 19, 2026, after five announcements at YCS Houston. The update makes 34 cards newly Forbidden, eight newly Limited and one newly Semi-Limited. One important exception: Perfectron Hydradrive Dragon becomes Limited on November 11, when it is first available.

What changes for tournament decks?

Remove Forbidden cards from your Main, Extra and Side Deck before playing Advanced Format. Called by the Grave, Crossout Designator and Triple Tactics Talent are now all Forbidden; Droll & Lock Bird is Limited to one. Extra Deck choices including Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon, Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, Trishula and Number 41: Bagooska must also be replaced. Floodgates including Gozen Match, Rivalry of Warlords, There Can Be Only One and Anti-Spell Fragrance are Forbidden.

Recheck the official list before submitting your tournament decklist. A ban does not necessarily determine a card's collectible or resale value.

Why Magnificent Maestros matters

The changes arrive ahead of Magnificent Maestros, with an Official Tournament Store launch on November 11 and broader release on November 13, 2026. The product's listed MSRP is $34.99. It features Toon, Witchcrafter and Unchained cards, among other designs. Perfectron Hydradrive Dragon's separate restriction date is tied to this launch.

Does this banlist apply to Master Duel or Genesys?

No. This list is for the TCG Advanced Format. Genesys has its own point-based restrictions, and Master Duel and the Japanese OCG maintain separate lists. Check the rules of the game or tournament you're entering.
